The general recommended amount of water each day is at least eight 8-ounce glasses, or 64 total ounces, each day, but many adults struggle to drink enough water on a daily basis. If you’re looking for a few tips to help you get more water each day, try these tips and tricks to drink more water!

Add Some Flavor

A lot of people complain that water doesn’t have enough flavor and is therefore not fun to drink. An easy fix for this is to add flavor into your water via fruit infusion or even flavor drops that can be found in many grocery stores. If you choose to infuse your water with fruit, many popular flavor combinations include raspberry and cucumber, mint and lemon, lemon lavender, apple and cinnamon, or any berry and citrus!

Track Your Water Intake

There are so many methods of tracking your water intake that you’re bound to find one that works well for you. From apps to tracking it in your daily planner, to water bottles that sync with your phone and remind you to take sips, you can make sure that you’re getting enough water each day.

Try The Gallon Method

Many folks have had success with the gallon method, where you fill a gallon-sized container (often an empty, sanitized milk jug) with water and aim to finish it by the end of the day. Finishing a gallon of water would be twice the minimum recommended amount, which may be suitable for you if you engage in a lot of physical activity. Always consult with a professional about how much water your body needs.

Get A Filter

If drinking tap water is hindering you from getting enough water, consider getting a filtration system to remove the tap water taste from your H2O. You can get filtered pitchers, water bottles, or even a filter that attaches to your faucet for quick and easy filtering.
